Basing ourselves on the level of importance of each application, we implemented over 300 backup sessions, storing 45 terabytes of data without interrupting the 50 Oracle instances involved.
Resources from project management and from Integra’s system consultants were retained to coordinate and implement all the phases according to the architectural plan submitted and approved.
Once the individual components (SW, libraries and directors) were installed and formatted, Point in Time Copy procedures were identified and implemented for the mounting/dismounting of all existing heterogeneous platforms.
Backup plans were left to the various persons responsible for those applications for testing and verification certification. This data protection solution gives the client accurate control and an increased flexibility with regards to the variations of elements to be stored.
By having a single point of management, the duplication of data (data vaulting) in the first step of the disaster recover plan is simplified. Thanks to the resizing of the temporary storage windows, it is easier to identify commonalities with easier integration of the new application.
